When it comes to fashion, it is hard to find someone who is at the top of the best dressed and most noticed magazine lists more than Kylie Minogue. From designer dresses to luxury lingerie items Kylie is known for her ability to shock and befuddle many with her loud fashion statements that despite their outrageous fundamentals, are arguably some of the classiest that the fashion world has seen on a celebrity.
In fact, Kylie is a trendsetter for many other celebrities, which is not a small feat in the world of fashion, but hardly surprising when you take a close look at some of the ensembles that she has gracefully and seductively pulled off at many A list events.
One of the reasons that Kylie is always at the top of the best dressed lists is due to her ability to mix luxury lingerie straight into a gown as the items she chooses to wear can sometimes float the line between bedroom wear and red carpet wear. Despite the fact, she usually ingeniously finds something in the middle that shows off her sultry body in all the right places without drawing too much attention away from the artistic integrity of the gown.
Take for example the gown she wore to the New York Linked Against Leukemia DKMS gala. Wrapped in a sheer nude topping that covered her simply with sequins set over a chiffon silky bottom that nicely fit her tightly her shape was nothing more than awe-inspiring. Add in the fact that the bow in the middle of the mummy wrapping was set where her waist narrows you’re your imagination begins, and you have a dress that glorified her as a woman and a fashion ingénue. In fact, the gown made her look almost ten years younger and possibly even more if you focused on her skin and dress alone.
Appearances such as these make Kylie’s fashion sense seem to be almost flawless, and it does not look as if she will slipping up any time soon either given the fact that her outfits for her upcoming tour will all be created under the experts hands of designer Jean Paul Gaultier. The star has already asked the French designer to work on stage wardrobe adding what she deemed his ‘sophisticated’ vision to the items that she already has conceptualized in her head.
Of course, given the fact that Jean Paul worked in the past on the Blonde Ambition Tour with Madonna, we can only expect to see at least a few luxury lingerie items make the cut for the tour. A friend mentioned that the outfits are a new level of fashion for Kylie which should be interesting to see, although we can only expect the best from the duo. While Kylie may want to appear more mature, it seems safe to say that she will not let her age stand in the way of her extreme flair for fashion.Ky
